How is piece count calculated for First Aid Only first aid kits?

For First Aid Kits, a common term is ‘piece count’. This refers to the individual pieces that are usable in a first aid kit.

Instead of the number of type of items, or the number of part numbers shown in a component list, piece count refers to the individual components that are in each box/refill/item category that are able to used independently. The sum of all of these is the total piece count.

Here are a couple of examples:

2-016: XL Hemaseal Bloodstopper Bdg

• This counts as 4 pieces because of (1) Hema-flex Trauma Pad attached to (1 )gauze and (2) gloves

90015-002: PC Ibuprofen 50x2/bx

• This counts as 100 pieces because 50x2 means there are fifty two-packs of pills. Total of 100 pills.

1-040: 3/8”x1.5” Plastic Bandages, 40/box

• This counts as 40 pieces
