How can I identify the grit without the color-coded buttons on my DMT double-side stones?

When holding the DuoSharp upright so the hole is at the top, if the hole is on the right side of the tab, this is the finer side of the stone.

Hole on the right side of tab, this is the coarser grit.

EX: If it is a WM8EF and the hole is on the right; that side is the E or Extra Fine side of the stone. On a CX stone it would be the Coarse side and hole on the left would be the X or extra coarse side.
