How do I get unused glue out of the Westcott ProjectMate glue guns?

This glue gun is intended to feed in only one direction. Depending on how much of the glue stick is exposed you may be able to over come the one way feeding ramp but its not intended to have the glue stick removed.  

If you want to change stick styles, you need to use up what’s already loaded.
