What is the difference between DMT's Duosharp & Dia-Sharp product lines?

The DuoSharp product line has a polka dot design- where the polka dots trap the swarf (this is the microscopic shavings that accumulate as you sharpen). 

The DiaSharp product line, which has a continuous stone surface, is better suited for chisels and planes, which have very sharp and precise corners. These corners could get caught on the polkdot design in the DuoSharp line making it less efficient to sharpen.
